Finally, Summer!

Okay, this is the longest I have gone since posting. I am sorry, I know you all are dying to know what's happening in the Perron family, Just kidding. At any rate the last 11 weeks has been very chaotic but fun. I guess this is what summer is all about. Let's back up to my last post.

May 23rd: Memorial Day weekend, we spent the weekend at the Jopp cabin and had fun but came home early on Sunday because of the weather. Only to get home and get hit by the hail storm that then turned into a tornado and destroyed homes in Hugo. Let's not forget to mention we got hit AGAIN 6 days later. Oh well, that's why we pay insurance. Later this summer we will be replacing siding, garage doors and a few other minor things. I am finally going to get faux cedar shakes. Yippee, thanks hail!

Last week of may: We celebrated 4 birthday's with 3 party's on the Perron side and one was Pipers. We had her party at the house and we rented a bounce house. I got lot's of grief about having one for a two year old but let me tell you it was the best 130.00 I have ever spent. We had so much fun in there and Piper LOVED it.

After the house party Piper's party's didn't stop. We then went to the cabin for a few days with other cousins and great grandma. "P" got more gifts and more cake. We now love cake and when we see it she thinks it's her birthday.

After celebrating in true Jopp style Piper's birthday was only 10 days long. Better not get her to used to that. With that being said, now it was my turn. Yeah it was the big one this year 3-0! Yikes! I really don't know what else to say other than holy crap I'm getting old.

Trenton threw me a party, of course I knew about it because I am Nancy Drew. We had a wonderful time. Thanks to all of you had to endure the night of shots and MANY spilled beers!

After the big celebration was over I had a few days to recover and then off to the lake with Mike and Trish to do all over again. We had a great weekend. Piper is LOVING the lake.

Daddy and Piper

4th Of July: Okay, we made it to the 4th and I think I have a small libations problem. Yikes, turning 30 and having the 4th all within a week is a bit much. We went to T's side for the 4th. Big Moose Lake Parade and fireworks. Once again my kid is the most adaptable person I know. She must get that from her dad. She was a rock star and loved every minute of it. She had fun at the parade and the fireworks. She continued her fun with tubing and "jump, jumping" on the water tramp. The child has no fear of water and is going to cause many grey hairs.

Piper at the Carny~Can't believe I let her on that thing

The 4th was a blast but the party wasn't over yet. The Monday following I celebrated my "last" birthday with my father-in-law. My mother-in- law still has birthday party's for all of us big kids. It was really nice and the kids had a blast with the pinata and climbing the trees in grandma's yard.

Piper and Lilly~Best Buddies

Due to technical difficulties I wont have any more pictures in this post. I know, it's very disappointing!

The rest of July was nothing short of crazy and busy. Jeana's life story....Crazy!

After the 4th we filled our July with more fun stuff. Not only the weekends but now we decided or I decided the weekends weren't busy enough, I needed to have stuff during the week too. I had offered to take my aunts twins (13) this summer on my days off, Mondays and Fridays, to do things so they wouldn't be bored at home. Great idea and great fun but we have been on the go. Again my daughter is a trooper. We have been to Valley Fair, Como Zoo, Bunker Beach, Elm Creek Park (twice), Sisters pool, Maple Maze, Maple Grove Pool and Wisconsin Dells all in the month of July. Wow....Fun times!

In the mean time my husband has been working, working hard but getting lot's of golf in. He played in two tournaments this last week. His game still sucks, he says so, and I am still not playing because I really suck. It's not my gig!

So, as we are now into August hopefully you all have been enjoying your summer as we have. Soon it will be time to go back to school and get back into "real" life. No more acting like we have the life of Reilly.

Until next time.....Cheers!

Spring has sprung!

I guess I am a once a month blogger. I guess that's better than nothing. Like every other month it has been a crazy one. I'll start from the end of April and work up to now...

As the weather got nicer we found ourselves outside a ton. Bella (the dog) couldn't have been happier especially since we had her at the vet and we were told she had gained some "winter weight" (we did too!) Needless to say we are back on our everyday walking regiment.

Piper enjoying her slide

I also attended a hair show in April. It was average at best and all I really learned is that the inverted bob (Posh Spice) is the hot haircut. So for any of you that I haven't already given that haircut to, hurry up and come let me hack it off.

As the end of April neared I was reminded with invites for 30th birthday parties that mine was also nearing, yeah I know....30. We celebrated Jody Illies' and Kelly Kenny's so far. I might be next. I told those girls to "try" it on and let me know. We'll see. Happy Birthday ladies.

Me, Kel, Trish

The next few months are crazy with birthdays so for all you May babies, Lilly, Mary, Kelly, Grandma, Auntie Kelly, Michelle, Gavin, Meghan.....Just to name a few, Happy Birthday from the Perrons.

Then it was Mother's day. I keep forgetting I am a mother. It ended up to be a beautiful day, T and P made breakfast for me and got me coffee from Caribou. They got me some great gifts, a massage, a pedicure and a great outfit. They have great taste. Piper and I went flower shopping and she picked all red geraniums so we went with it. Not my first choice but they look great!

Lastly to get us current we had Piper's gymnastics show last weekend. She has been taking gymnastics at Twin City Twisters for the last 4 months and we got to show off all our (my) hard work. Daddy came, Auntie Jamie and Jen came and her "girls" Megan and Michelle came. She did pretty well. As well as a 23 month old can do. Daddy was very proud of his little princess. She even got a trophy. We enjoyed it but mommy is looking forward to a break. We will see in the fall if we are ready for it again.

That gets us pretty much up to date. We had a great month and are looking forward to summer and all the fun summer activities. Weekends at the lake are getting closer and closer.

Just a quick note~Congrats to JJ and Mel (our friends from Montana) on the birth of their beautiful baby girl Ella. I was lucky enough to meet her when they were home in early May. She is a beauty!!!

Hope everyone has a great rest of the month and have a Happy, safe Memorial Day!

Is it Spring yet??????

The dreaded month of March is finally over and we are half way into April, so where is spring? Many of you and many others I have talked to are all depressed and sick of this weather. It's either nice but so windy you can't drive your car straight or it's gloomy and cold. What gives?

Cutie Pie~learning to say "cheese"

With that being said the Perron family is status quo right now. We are back in ECFE til the middle of May and finishing up gymnastics.

"P" is doing wonderful, she had a bit of a cold a few weeks ago, her first in 22 months. Thankfully she has been healthy or her mommy would have gone cookoo. I do not do well with a sick baby. I am a nervous nelly.

Trenton has been busy with work and looking forward to his golf season. He has been debating on a membership somewhere. We will see.

Until next time, think spring, maybe we should skip spring and go right to summer!

Happy Easter

Well, it's been almost a month since I last blogged. Shame on me. Just more for me to write this time. First off I would like to wish everyone a belated Easter. Hopefully everyone survived the craziness of the Holiday. Ours was great, except I would have liked some sunshine and perhaps a 50 degree day but I guess we made due. I found it interesting that there were no tights to be found the day before Easter. I debated and thought I should buy some for "P" since there was snow on the ground but two Targets and no tights so we went without.

We started our day at "T's" auntie Midges. It's always fun there with all the cousins and aunts and uncles. The only downfall is the feeling of sardines and claustrophobia you feel while there chasing around a toddler looking for Easter eggs. Let's not forget to mention we feel the need to touch every knick-knack there is while looking for eggs, and let me tell you there are tons!!!

After filling ourselves with delicious appetizers we packed up all the baskets and Easter trinkets we received and headed over to my parents house. Once arriving we put "P" down for a nap so she could get rested for round two. More stuff to come.

After a wonderful turkey dinner, Grandpa Tim announced that "P's" gift was in the garage and needed some assembly. The assembly started, the assembly of "P's" first car. Yep, that's right she's 22 months and getting a Barbie Mustang GT. Uncle Evil and Daddy put it together, it was almost finished and "P" decided it was time to get up. We stalled upstairs for awhile but I couldn't stand it any longer, I had to see the look on her face, even though she has NO idea the scale of this thing. We came down and she smiled as big as the state of Texas. She's thinking this is awesome, a new jungle gym. Something new to climb in and out of, on top of, whatever. She helped with the finishing touches then it was on~get this baby rolling. Not by the 12 volt battery supplied but by someone, anyone pushing. After an hour of in and out it was time to get going home. So where does someone put this car, couldn't fit in our car so Uncle and Auntie followed us home with it in their truck. Grandpa didn't tell me I needed a trailer for my kids Easter present. A pretty extravagant present at that~that's another story for another day, spoiling!

So as for now, "P" thinks her car is at Grandma and Grandpa's (it's really in our spare bedroom downstairs) then once it's nice out it will become an outside toy. Daddy has come to the conclusion that we will need to build another garage this summer to store all the BIG plastic things kids think they need.

So that's Easter.

Prior to Easter Trenton and I took a trip with his brother and wife out to Utah. We took a 6 day trip to Park City to do some skiing. We had about 2 feet of fresh pow, pow (Trenton's word for powder) while we were there. The skiing was awesome and reminds me how lame the skiing in Minnesota is. We made it home injury free and can't wait to go back their again.

Other than that life continues to speed on by, Piper and I are on a break from ECFE until the middle of April and we are continuing with gymnastics. She loves going every week and has learned how to do lot's of moves. She can finally get her feet off the ground.
Until next time......Wish hard for spring and be thankful for your family!

It's almost March~Yipee!

Laying pretty Bella.

The last few weeks have been like the last 20 months of our life.... B~U~S~Y! Nothing that needs to be put on the top of the list but just always something going on. "T" has been working at the Lone Tree Bar (Downtown) for the last few weekends. Which mean "P" and I have lot's of quality time together. He has worked there for years, now that he has a "Real" job he just fills in when people need time off. They call him the Godfather of bar tending since he is the oldest by ten years~ old fart. The money is great and it allows us to take some great trips or buy some cool fish for his very expensive hobby of keeping a 125 gallon salt water fish tank.

"P" has had a very busy social calender in the last few weeks. She has spent lots of time with my cousins who are almost thirteen. She adores them as they also adore her. They are great little babysitters. Last weekend we celebrated my cousin Maddie's 10th birthday. They came to our house and we had a little party. The next day we went to Grand Rios. Piper enjoyed the water slides. She is a real daredevil, I wonder where she got that from.....?

Cousins: Michelle, Megan and Maddie

She is in her third week of gymnastics and amazing me every time. She is really doing a great job following directions and learning how to work all her big muscles. Her friend Madelyn will be joining the team next week. She is also loving ECFE.

This weekend Daddy has a Ski event to keep up his Ski Instructor certification so we are planning on hanging around the house. We will probably take Auntie Jen out for her 22nd birthday. Happy Birthday Jen!

Other than that we are counting the days until Utah...13. I got new skis and can't wait to see how fast they go.

Until next time.....

Piper's new passion...Collecting money in her bucket.

Finally, warming up! Trying the new backpack.

Happy Valentines Week!

Well it's not exactly Valentines but its close enough. We had a great heart day. Since it was a Thursday we celebrated last weekend. Nothing over the top but we had or friends JD and Amy over and had a great time. As far as the actual day~didn't wake up to breakfast in bed or a house full of thousands of roses, but I did wake up being thankful for the wonderful family I have. "T" and "P" are the best Valentines gift I could ever ask for. "P" didn't think anything was different except that she got a cute new outfit from Grandma Gin, a Jack N Box (have been searching high and low for this old time classic)from daddy and some great new books about potting training and ditching the paicifier/Nuk (or Guk) if your 20 months old. When mommy got home from work we decided to make a Valentines Day cake. As you can see "P" was a great help and loved the mixer.

Everything in the Perron family is status quo~ Piper did start gymnastics this week at Twin City Twisters in Champlin. I know what you all must be thinking~ I'm crazy or I'm trying to turn her into a gymnast because I never was. No I am not crazy, maybe a little, and no I'm not thinking she'll be an Olympic gymnast. But, if she is Mama would be proud. Actually we signed up just to get out of the house and have "P" meet other kids and have some fun. It's only been one week so stay tuned for further updates.

Until next time..............Love from the Perron Family:)

January is almost over!

I can't believe this month is almost over, where did it go? I guess it's a blessing since past January's have been long and painful. Febuary ususally goes fast then March comes and well, to a Minnesotian it's almost summer, right?

The last week has been busy, We had Trenton's holiday work party for HealthTech on Friday the 25th. We went to Bucca for dinner and ended the night with some bowling at Alligators. I gave up after the first game as my bowling skills rapidly declined. We had a nice time.

Then on Sunday we headed up to Spirit Mountain for a day of "turns". That's what my husband calls skiing. We met "T's" brothers Troy and Tod and Tod's wife Laura. It was the warmest day of skiing I can remember up there. Usually it is so cold.

Snow Bunnies~ Some may say "geeks"

"P" and I started school again today. We started in the fall through St. Michael's ECFE program. We really enjoyed it and decided to continue. It's called Wonderful Ones and we meet on Monday's for 1 1/2 hours. It is a separating class, which allows the children and the parent to separate for half of the class time. "P" generally cries when I leave but it is short lived. I think she does it on purpose to make me sad. At any rate, we have met some great children and parents! We will continue this through the spring.

I think that's about all.... Here is a picture of the girls. "P" can't get enough of her Bella
